Our Projects

Mutt Fund is proud to partner with mission-driven brands like The Mutt Dog and Stella Blue to raise funds necessary to do our work, and bring education, awareness, and connection to the dog wellness and rescue ecosystem.

Mutt Fund works with organizations and volunteers who align with our Mission and Focus Areas. These wonderful groups are helping dogs in both the short and long term, enabling them to live the lives they deserve.

If you believe that your organization or initiative is mission-aligned and meets at least one of the Focus Areas, the first step in applying for support is to complete an intake form, here

Here is a snapshot of the projects we’ve funded:

Pippi’s Project

Vega Alta, Puerto Rico

In March of 2025, Mutt Fund partnered with the Mutt Dog to support Pippi’s Project, a 2-day TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, release) clinic in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. With an estimated 650,000 stray dogs on the island, TNVR events like this one are vital to begin to address the overpopulation crisis and improve the health and longevity of street dogs.

Thanks to the funds we collectively raised, Veterinarians for Puerto Rico were able to spay, neuter, and vaccinate 84 satos (dogs) and 44 gatos (cats)  over two days. The majority of the animals at the clinic were strays, most well known and fed by community feeders from Miracles for Satos. Once the animals received care, they were monitored closely for recovery, and  released back into their communities..

Although rescue groups like Miracles for Satos would love to rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out every single stray, TNVR is the most effective way to reduce the stray population and improve the wellbeing of the entire community. We’ll begin to see the impacts from TNVR clinics like Pippi’s in the next few years.

Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary

Seattle, Washington

Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary is a foster-based rescue organization that works to pull dogs from high-kill and overburdened shelters in order to unite them with their forever families in the Seattle area. Although they rely on a large foster network to care for and house their adoptable dogs, they operate a brick-and-mortar space that serves as a hub for new dog arrivals, meet and greets, pup socialization, and community events.

Like many other shelters and rescues, their needs for their physical space had grown well beyond what it was originally built to accommodate. With just one small sink, bathing and caring for dogs on a daily basis was no small task for their dedicated staff and volunteer workforce. Mutt Fund partnered with grooming brand Pride & Groom to help raise funds for a new, larger grooming sink to help facilitate daily care. We’re proud to help keep dogs clean and healthy, while increasing their chance for adoption and reducing strain on staff and dogs alike.
